Tungsten e is amazing

by   damelasalsa ,  Apr 6, 2007
Pros: backlit screen (can use in poorly lit areas), customizeble shortcut buttons,
Cons: not bluetooth capable (infrared takes an eternity to transfer files)
Review: This is my first experience with a handheld, and I can't beleive how useful it is for me. I did a good amount of researching on the internet comparing and contrasting several models before settling on this one. The tungsten e is great for a beginner ...

Serves Me Well

by   randulak ,  Mar 17, 2007
Pros: Reliable
Cons: Battery
The Bottom Line: Recommended for its ability to keep one organized
Review: At the almost 3 year mark of ownership of my Tungsten E I think it time to do a performance review. I was looking at the different Palm model reviews here and elsewhere and it was interesting to see how some (most) Palm's generate a love hate ...

A Fortunate Marriage of Lasting Value and Quality

by   idyllcope ,  Feb 25, 2007
Pros: Color, stylus silo (although placement not helpful for lefties), price, expandability, well-engineered design.
Cons: Volume of speakers slightly soft. Being unable to reset with stylus, but needing paper clip.
The Bottom Line: Money spent buying a Palm Tungsten E is money well spent for its economies of scale, and marketability. The Tungsten E enhances your tasks with convenience and aesthetic appeal.
Review: I acknowledge that I'm a late adapter to technology products. I was introduced to Palm efficiencies in an operations course in business school. However, I waited four years before owning my first PDA. When I adapted, I immediately noticed the ...

Palm

by   kellys3ps ,  Jan 8, 2007
Pros: Time management, Very easy to use
Cons: small size may be easy to lose
Review: I am definitely not what flylady would call a BO (born organized). Far from it. I was forever missing appointments and tearing apart my desk for yellow stickies before I got my palm. Now things are different! I have all of my contact information in ...

My third palm!!!

by   rplaza ,  Nov 26, 2006
Pros: Great way to keep track of address and dates. Good screen.
Cons: Poor reliability . Ninety day warranty. Not much faith by company
Review: This is my third palm. I wore out my first two but used them for 2 years each so could not complain. The best was the Sony Clie but it is no longer on the market. It used Palm software so it was perfect. The Tungsten E2 is a different story. I have ...

2 1/2 years later, and I still love my Tungsten E!

by   gillises ,  Nov 4, 2006
Pros: Price, versatility, clear color screen, SD expansion slot, audio function.
Cons: No wireless or bluetooth. Limited battery life with audio use.
The Bottom Line: If you don't need wireless or bluetooth, this PDA can do everything you could possibly want. Why pay more?
Review: If I were a poet, I would write a sonnet about my Tungsten E. I can't live without it. I bought it 2 1/2 years ago because it was cheap, about $199 at the time, before the Tungsten E2 came out. The longer I have it, the more uses I find for it! I ...

4th Palm product, many years Palm loyalist

by   harmoniker ,  Aug 27, 2006
Pros: WiFi, Bluetooth, Voice recorder, vertical-Horizontal screen
Cons: Crashes lots! Slowed down by the hard drive. Overpriced.
The Bottom Line: Hold off until Palm gets the bugs out of this PDA.
Review: Last year I traded in my Palm Tungsten E for the LifeDrive, lured by the 4 Gigs of harddrive, WiFi, and Bluetooth and paid a hefty 500 for it. BIG MISTAKE!! I wish I had stayed with my Tungsten E. Here are all the things wrong with with the ...

Not bad for the price.

by   jason222 ,  Jun 5, 2006
Pros: Good screen, not too bad for what I needed it for.
Cons: Battery life so-so, internal speaker has a poor connection.
The Bottom Line: Good if you don't need to use really CPU or power-intensive apps.
Review: This PDA wasn't too bad for the price. What really makes it a 'good' or 'bad' PDA is what you'll be using it for. If you plan to play a lot of games or lots of movies, forget it since it has a small dynamic memory heap (2 mb of the 32 mb), and the ...

Fantastic Palm product; can't live without it

by   bpbatch1 ,  Mar 20, 2006
Pros: Try wrestling this away from your significant other after loading Bejeweled.
Cons: Battery life, like every portable computing device, can be improved. Headphone port occasionally sticks.
Review: I'm not sure why I asked for my Tungsten E as a Christmas present over a year ago. I believed my Handspring, which I had owned earlier, didn't have any useful purpose. However, I can't live without my little trusty Palm. Beyond a great office ...

The Viable (Affordable) Pocket PC Replacement

by   vemartin , top reviewer in Computer Hardware at Epinions.com ,  Mar 12, 2006
Pros: Lightweight, color screen, Outlook conduit.
Cons: No USB cradle.
The Bottom Line: The 320x320 16-bit full-color, TFT screen, small size & light weight, and Outlook conduit make the Tungsten E the affordable Palm to own.
Review: Through the years I have owned two (monochrome) Palm handhelds. Each had it strengths and weaknesses, and ultimately I gave them up and went with the (color) Pocket PC handheld with its color display and compatibility with the Windows XP OS. I found ...
